Rules for using Face Shape Scanner — results are for entertainment, use only your own photos, and never use photos of minors.
These terms apply to your use of faceshapescanner.com ("Face Shape Scanner", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Results are for entertainment and general guidance
The face shape detector, glasses try-on and the style suggestions on this site are provided for entertainment and general informational purposes only. Face shape results are estimates based on a single photo and can vary with angle, lighting, hair, glasses and expression. They are not a professional, medical, optical, cosmetic or psychological assessment, and they say nothing about your worth, health or attractiveness.
Do not rely on the site for decisions that need professional advice. For prescription eyewear, frame fitting or eye health, consult a qualified optician or eye care professional.
Only use your own photos
You may only use a photo of yourself, or of another adult who has given you permission to analyse their photo. Do not use photos of other people without their consent.
No photos of minors
Do not use or take photos of anyone under 18, including your own children. The site is intended for adults.
How your photos are handled
Photos are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to us. See our Privacy Policy, including the Biometric Data Notice, for details.
Acceptable use
Don't use the site to harass, identify, track or profile other people; to break any law; to interfere with the site's operation; or to copy or resell the site or its content. Automated scraping of the site is not allowed except by search engines and other crawlers that respect our robots.txt.
Affiliate links and ads
Some pages contain affiliate links to eyeglasses retailers. If you buy after clicking one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Our frame recommendations are based on face shape styling principles, not on commission rates. Purchases are between you and the retailer, under the retailer's terms; we are not responsible for their products, prices, delivery or returns.
The site may also show advertising. Ads are provided by third parties and do not mean we endorse the advertised products.
Intellectual property
The site's text, design, code, diagrams and frame images belong to us or our licensors. You may share links to our pages. Face detection uses Google's MediaPipe models under the Apache 2.0 license.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any result is correct.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site, its results or any purchase made through a link on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
